Mohamed Mostafa, MBA
Mr. Mohamed Mostafa has over 27 years of practical experience in equity management, fixed income, alternative investments in the Middle East and North Africa region. In addition to direct investment, he has expertise in financial consulting, financial and economic research.
Currently, Mr. Mohamed Mostafa holds the position of Managing Director and Head of Asset Management at Arab African Investment Management since 2010. He also chairs the investment committees in equity and fixed income management.
He began his professional career working in several financial and banking institutions in various positions in financial and economic analysis, such as Iran Egypt Development Bank, Prime Securities, and Al-Naeem Holding for Financial Investments. During this time, he conducted numerous financial and sectoral studies as well as company valuation studies in various sectors such as banking, cement, fertilizers, petrochemical industries, telecommunications, real estate investment, and pharmaceuticals.
He worked at Saudi Investment Bank as a Manager in the Financial Portfolios Management Department and a member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Mostafa also served as the Head of Research and Private Equity Department at Resmala Asset Management Egypt (now Azimut Egypt).
He is a member of the Egyptian Investment Management Association (EIMA), the Egyptian Association for Direct Investment and Technical Analysis, as well as a member of the American Chamber of Commerce and the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
Mr. Mostafa holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in finance from the ESLSCA Business School in Paris, France.
Shaymaa El Nemr, CFA
Ms. Shimaa El-Nemer, a CFA charterholder, brings over 18 years of investment experience with a strong research background acquired through her previous roles at reputable companies such as Bolton Financial Holdings and Faros Financial Holdings. During her career, Shimaa has covered various sectors including construction materials, petrochemicals, construction, fertilizers, healthcare, and basic and luxury consumer goods.
As the Managing Director, Shimaa contributes to achieving the strategy and growth objectives of Arab African Investment Management. She is responsible for formulating the investment strategy for equity investments, determining trading tactics, and allocating strategic assets. Shimaa monitors portfolio performance to ensure the effective implementation of investment strategies. She ensures that the specific investment strategies and market updates are efficiently executed and provides clients with tailored investment strategies.
Shimaa represents the investment committee and provides updated guidance on investment strategy, market trends, and asset allocation. She holds the CFA designation and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, specializing in finance.
Ahmed Rashad, MBA
Mr. Ahmed Rashad has over 18 years of experience in the financial services sector in the Middle East and North Africa region. Prior to joining Arab African Investment Management, Mr. Rashad served as Deputy Head of the Fixed Income Department at Bolton Asset Management since 2018.
He also held the position of Head of Fixed Income Department at Resmala Asset Management Egypt (now Azimut Egypt) from 2009 to 2017, where he was responsible for managing investment funds and fixed income portfolios for individuals and institutions.
Mr. Rashad joined Arab African Investment Management in 2021 and currently holds the position of Head of Fixed Income. His main role involves managing funds and portfolios, analyzing the macroeconomic situation, monitoring the implementation of fixed income trades, ensuring compliance with investment directives tailored to each client's investment strategy, and providing clients with the latest market developments.
Mr. Rashad holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Economy from the American University in Cairo and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Cairo University. He is also a Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM) designated by the Egyptian Investment Management Association (EIMA).
Mariam Ramadan
Maryam Ramadan holds the position of Director of Equities at Arab African Investment Management since January 2024. It is noteworthy that she has over 13 years of professional experience in equity management in the Egyptian market, as well as in investment management and fnancial and economic research in both the Egyptian and Arab markets.
Drawing on her extensive experience, Maryam conducts evaluations and analyses across a wide range of sectors using various valuation methods, including fundamental fnancial analysis, as well as technical and statistical analyses. She also performs economic and data analyses, makes investment decisions, participates in investment committees through voting, executes transactions, maintains close communication with brokers and fnancial research frms, attends conferences, and prepares and presents performance reviews and risk analyses.
Previously, Maryam worked at Prime Asset Management as a Senior Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager. She also held positions at HC Securities & Investment and Logic Management Consulting as a Research Analyst.
Academic Qualifcations:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with honors from the American University in Cairo, majoring in Finance and minoring in Economics.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation holder.
